Uthando Trading is a building and maintenance company providing reliable, high‑quality services for residential and commercial properties. Mid-2025 was a busy year with a few bold decisions. Lea had taken steps forward to launch Uthando Trading, a general maintenance, repairs and handyman business based on his 20 years in the building industry, which began in South Africa, side shifted to London and currently lives in Auckland, New Zealand. The beginning of his journey in the New Zealand market started way down south in Te Anau, Southland working on a remote residential wellbeing retreat project in the “WOP-WOPs”. Spending 1 year on the South Island, he moved up to Auckland and began building remediation project with tier 2 main contractors. This is where he realised that making an impact in the New Zealand building industry was a must and Uthando Trading hatched.
